Why is it that when we hit about 18 years old, we stop asking ourselves this question? Perhaps you haven't asked yourself in a while, so I will do the honor today: What do you want to be when you grow up?
This past weekend I was challenged to write a List of 100 Dreams. I was warned that when I started I would either struggle to reach 100 or I would be that person who extends the count to 1000. Can you guess which way it went for me?
1000!! I am working on listing out 1000 dreams I have for my life and I am challenging YOU to do the same. Start with 100 and see which way the exercise leads you!
As the instructions state: anything goes! Our dream list can contain ideas ranging from where we want to travel to taking an art class to going back to college. Two of mine include: taking a hip-hop dance class and traveling to Australia.
Why am I passing along this challenge today?
You are made too beautifully, too purposefully, and too amazingly not to explore what all God put in you!
I believe that God not only wants to bless us with the desires of our heart, but also that these inclinations are a part of how He moves us in the direction of His purpose for our lives.
Life can move so fast and gives us so much responsibility. If we are not careful, it's easy to forget that, like kids, we can still dream, too! So have fun, my friend! What do you want to be when you grow up? The power is totally in your hands.
Habakkuk 2:2 "Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it."
